Real wine for real people – approachable and informal look for online wine retail RWC
The Brief
Founder of this ambitious start-up venture, Mark Hughes was recommended Milestone and approached us with the brief of creating a new on-line retail wine brand. His vision was to make accessible ‘Real Wine for Real People’ – a move against mass-produced factory products and an opportunity to sell fantastic, individual wines with real character and genuine value.
The Solution
Looking at the competition we knew we had to find some clear space for Mark’s venture and go for a fresh, modern, vibrant look that spurned stuffiness. The idea was to bring out the passion and individuality of the smaller wine producers and embody the whole experience of discovering and sharing wine with friends.
After creating the right brand look, feel and attitude Milestone embarked on building a fully content-managed, e-commerce website.
We have continued to update the site to promote new services and have successfully helped develop another venture for the business – The Chilean Wine Club.
Outcomes
The venture has been a great success, doubling turnover each year.
