Welcome to a new look 'edge' from Milestone. If you've visited our website recently you'll be aware of our own brand makeover, featuring our new process: consult, create, connect. Many of our customers are using our 'Consult' services to help position and direct their brand strategy. We've developed a number of highly effective tools to bring brands to life in the boardroom, such as our stimulating 'chocolate technique' – ask us how it works. / Daler-Rowney gets creative
Patrick Girraud – CEO Daler-Rowney, unveiled the impressive 3m x 3m art installation (right) on the front of the offices and factory in Bracknell, eagerly watched by the Deputy Mayor of Bracknell and Daler-Rowney's staff.
400 staff world-wide contributed to 4 giant art installations, to be displayed at main office sites in the UK, USA and Dominican Republic. The unveiling was attended by the staff who saw the picture as a whole for the first time since they had 'made their mark' and painted their individual canvases.
The installation communicates one element of the internal and external marketing campaign which Milestone has worked with Daler-Rowney to achieve. During our Brand Storm process for helping brands define and develop their positioning, we quickly identified the need to draw out the brand's passion and creativity, defining the Daler-Rowney brand voice as "Be Passionate, Be Inspired, Be Creative".
/ Greener, Safer, Smarter
ACCO Brands is a world leader in office products and its portfolio includes a variety of strong brands such as Rexel and Nobo. Milestone has created an issue-based campaign targeted at businesses by aligning product groups with current business challenges: environment, security, presentation. A single approach was required to gain maximum return from the campaign which included, adverts, trade support material, competitions, microsites, and banner ads. Milestone brought the promotions together under one banner "Greener, Safer, Smarter". This campaign was well received and adopted by some of ACCO's key partners.
/ Pashana revived
Recently redesigned and repackaged by Milestone, the rejuvenated Pashana range of mens' grooming products has had a successful launch into barbers across the country.
On the strength of this positive feedback, Milestone is already working with Denman on range additions. We've also created a poster campaign and a range brochure to further increase brand recognition amongst barbers and their customers. Proof that stylish and distinctive packaging can inject a new lease of life into an aging product range.
/ Kensington Europe
Kensington continues to develop in its traditional channels throughout Europe and Milestone is supporting Kensington's European communications programme with the design and artwork of 6 brochures in 10 languages. Messaging is key and the new brochures incorporate the new branding whilst providing more information about each range.
/ Sporting a new look
Milestone has designed a funky new set of sports gift books for Marks & Spencer. Created for renowned gift publisher SJG, it utilises hot colours, matt lamination and spot silver foil in conjunction with a precise and modern typographical treatment. These distinctive titles hit shelves across the country later this month.
/ POS Success
Mobile computing accessories manufacturer Kensington is increasing its European retail presence with innovative point of sale solutions designed by Milestone. Clear Perspex display systems have been a great success in PC World stores, increasing sales through clear branding and product benefits.
/ UK Skills promotes online
Milestone is working to increase the awareness of UK Skills, a not for profit organisation which champions skills and learning for work through competitions and awards. Milestone has created a number of infomercials for www.ukskills.org.uk to promote WorldSkills UK competitions, National Training Awards and Star Units excellence in NVQs. E-shots have also been developed to encourage entry into the 2008 competition.

It seems like there's always someone giving birth to a baby at Milestone. This time it's an instant family for Sharon Moore who produced beautiful twins, in July with a boy, Jonas and a girl Elizabeth.
We are also pleased to be welcoming back Toni Chapman this month, following the birth of Emily last April.
